The saddest thing about the crime of Fraud is that it’s usually committed by people you have employed and trusted. This makes it particularly hard to guard against. And it’s on the rise. A recent global economic crime survey by PwC Forensic Services found that the percentage of Australian businesses that had suffered an economic crime had risen from 40% in 2009 to 47% in 2011.
